The Columbus Hamfest will be at the Aladdin Shrine Center, 1801 Gateway Circle Grove City (off Marlane Drive) on Saturday August 2. Officially 8 am to 1 pm, but get there early as vendors start tearing down by noon.The Club will have a table at the Hamfest. Talk-in frequency: 146.760 MHz PL 123.0 Hz.
The Club monthly breakfast is also next Saturday August 2 with a significant change to location and time. Breakfast will be at the Tee Jayes in Grove City, 1880 Stringtown Road. The restaurant is where Stringtown Rd and Marlane Drive meet, and is just down Marlane Drive (about 1 mile) from the Hamfest location. If you are going to the Hamfest, we generally meet earlier than usual, 6-6:30, to allow time to eat breakfast and then get to the Hamfest around 8 or shortly thereafter. Feel free to go at the regular breakfast time, 8-8:30, but just be aware that there may not be as many club members at that time as some will be at the Hamfest.

The Southwest Columbus Ham Radio Club operates a different kind of repeater and you’re invited! While this repeater has been on the air for over 30 years, its home to a small and friendly group of hams. Activity in the Club is as varied as the hobby of Amateur Radio itself and it doesn’t matter if your new to amateur radio or an old timer, you will find others that share the same interest as you. We encourage you to be active and perhaps you will learn something new as well. We meet the first Saturday of the month for breakfast. Our informational net is Thursdays at 8:30pm. We participate in the ARRL field day in June as well as Winter Field Day in January. We encourage members to get together and help other hams who may need help with installing antennas or with setting up their home stations. If you are studying for your license, please feel free to ask us any questions that you may have.
